BeLA was part of a three day workshop organized by UN Women Cameroon in collaboration with United Youth Organization-UYO from the 17 - 19 of November in Bamenda. The workshop  brought together leaders of women-led organizations working on Gender Based Violence-GBV in the North West Region.

 

It was aimed at building the capacities of women and giving them better strategies to effectively handle GBV cases, especially in collaboration.

 

The new concept of Communities of Practice-CoP was introduced as a means to ensure that the success of each GBV case was a collective effort. Gender Mainstreaming and Financial Management and Resource Mobilization in CSOs were also core concepts that were tackled at the highly enriching event.
